The Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) is a secure web-based application that supports the European Reference Networks in diagnosing and treating rare or low-prevalence complex diseases or conditions across national borders. Via this system, our multidisciplinary teams of experts are able to give virtual consultations to diagnose, suggest treatment or surgery, and then provide post-operative and transitional support. Important Note: Due to the impending move to CPMS 2.0 (see below), we must ensure that all discussions in the legacy system are concluded by the time of the move. Therefore, please contact the ERN eUROGEN Helpdesk before creating any new cases on the legacy system. The current version of CPMS (hereafter referred to as the legacy version) will be switched off by the end of 2024. By that point, all ERNs will move to a new version, CPMS 2.0. ERN eUROGEN aims to make this change as soon as possible. Although we do not currently have a definitive date for the move, we expect it to be by the end of August 2024. These videos will help you learn more about the new version, CPMS 2.0: To refer a case to ERN eUROGEN for consultation through CPMS, please note the following: If you have a case that you would like to refer to ERN eUROGEN, please contact the ERN eUROGEN Helpdesk, and we will respond with further advice. Authorised Users Registered users can log into CPMS here to view current cases and provide advice. Before adding a new case, please contact the ERN eUROGEN Helpdesk. Requesting Access Access to CPMS is strictly regulated to protect patients’ data privacy rights. Only authenticated users (EU Login) can request authorisation (SAAS) from the ERN to use the CPMS. Each ERN has member Healthcare Providers (HCPs), and it is envisaged that the users of CPMS are either Healthcare Professionals (HPs) within these HCPs or HPs authorised as guest users by the relevant ERN Coordinator. For those working in one of our member centres who have not registered, here is a guide to creating your EU Login and applying for access to CPMS. The guidance for applying for CPMS access will change once ERN eUROGEN switches to using CPMS 2.0. The guide will be updated at that point. However, the current method can continue to be used for the time being, and all current users will be migrated automatically to the new system when the move to the new system is made. If you have any questions or require any additional help with this process, please contact the ERN eUROGEN Helpdesk. The guides will change once ERN eUROGEN switches to using CPMS 2.0 and will be updated at that point. In the meantime, you may find the following ERN eUROGEN legacy version guides useful: Below, you can quickly open the CPMS consent form in your chosen language, or if you wish to save a copy, right-click and select ‘”Save link as…” or “Save target as…”: If you are having problems with either accessing or using CPMS, please refer to the common issues below for potential solutions in the first instance, or the FAQ provided by the Commission. If these do not solve your problem, or you have feedback with regard to using the system, please contact the ERN eUROGEN CPMS Helpdesk. I have entered my EU Login details but I am not receiving a notification from my EU Login app on my mobile device Currently, the EU Login app is not automatically sending a notification when you enter your EU Login details. When you enter your EU Login details, you will see a screen instructing you to open the EU Login app yourself and, on the Pending Authentication Request screen, press Continue. This will bring up the notification. I have changed my mobile phone and I can no longer log in to my account You can solve this by following these steps: I have logged into CPMS but I cannot see anything on the pages The most likely cause of this is that you have accessed CPMS via Internet Explorer, which is not a supported browser for this application. You should instead access the system through one of the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. The latter is included with the Windows 10 operating system, but may not be the default browser, and therefore you may need to access it via the Start Menu. You can also use Safari to browse cases in CPMS, but please see the isue with video meetings below. I have joined a CPMS video meeting but others cannot see or hear me If you are joining a CPMS video meeting, we recommend that you use Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge as your browser. Unfortunately, Safari is not fully supported for video meetings, and it can cause an issue where you disappear from the participants list and you cannot be seen or heard (although you can still see and hear the rest of the meeting). You can download our flyer about CPMS here. You can download our 2022 paper, Cross-Border Video Consultation Tool for Rare Urology: ERN eUROGEN’s Clinical Patient Management System. Key clinical messages: The Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) is a virtual multi-disciplinary consultation tool for European Reference Network (ERN) experts. ERN eUROGEN’s analysis showed that this secure video consultancy tool offers great opportunities for sharing knowledge and expertise once urologists are confident in using it. However, adaptations to make the tool more user-friendly are needed to implement this further in daily care. For our clinicians, we issue a newsletter related to CPMS around 2-3 times per year, depending on the number of system changes and other CPMS-related news updates.
