Parmida Anvary and Lotte Boormans at the ESPU Congress 2026
From Wednesday 17 to Saturday 20 June 2026, the 36th European Society for Paediatric Urology (ESPU) Congress took place in Paris, France. The programme covered workshops, presentations, case studies, and discussions on rare and non-rare urological diseases. Parmida Anvary, ERN eUROGEN Clinical Data Specialist, and Lotte Boormans, ERN eUROGEN Registry Manager, represented ERN eUROGEN at the event.
On Thursday, Lotte presented on the ERN eUROGEN registry, including its potential and achievements to date, and the response was immediate, with multiple hospitals already requesting to join the registry or access the available data.
It was a pleasure to meet with clinicians involved in our network, as well as those already participating in the registry or considering doing so. Discussions were highly productive and have led to several follow-up meetings and planned collaborations.
Parmida also presented her research on Classic Bladder Exstrophy (CBE), focusing on surgical care and primary closing techniques. She will be visiting participating centres to provide support with CBE data entry into the registry, which we hope will help improve both participation and the completeness and quality of the data collected.
