ERN eUROGEN was very saddened to hear the news of the passing of Professor Linda Cardozo OBE. On behalf of the whole network, the Coordination Team would like to extend their thoughts and condolences to Prof. Cardozo’s family, friends, and colleagues worldwide.
Prof. Cardozo was a Professor of Urogynaecology and Consultant Gynaecologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, one of the network’s full members until Brexit sadly necessitated the withdrawal of all UK hospitals from the ERNs.
Until then, as the King’s College main representative, Prof. Cardozo was very actively involved in ERN eUROGEN’s Workstream 2 and cross-network initiatives. We have very fond memories of her from her participation in meetings, such as the annual ERN eUROGEN strategic board meetings (as pictured, left, with Michelle Battye, ERN eUROGEN Programme Manager, and June Rogers MBE in Noordwijk in 2019).
She was a true pioneer in the field of urogynaecology and will be sorely missed.
A more in-depth obituary covering her distinguished career is available on the King’s College Hospital website.
