We are pleased to announce that the Expert Meeting on Vaginal Replacement in Children with ARM will take place on 24-25 April 2025 in Lund, Sweden.
This meeting will bring together 20 leading experts in the fields of pediatric surgery, pediatric urology, gynaecology, psychology, and methodology from Europe and the United States to develop clinical guidance on the treatment of vaginal atresia in ARM patients, supported by ERN eUROGEN and ARM-Net.
Purpose and Methodology
Due to the ultra-rare nature of vaginal atresia in ARM patients, evidence is limited. This meeting will follow a structured consensus methodology, including a literature review, case presentations, expert surveys, and a formal consensus process (Nominal Group Technique). The goal is to create a Clinical Decision Support Tool (CDST) to guide decision-making in vaginal atresia/aplasia cases.
