Prof. Peter Mulders, ERN eUROGEN Coordinator, and Michelle Battye, ERN eUROGEN Programme Manager, attended the ERICA ERN Research Conference, which took place from 11-13 December 2024 in Udine (UT), hosted by MetabERN.
The aim of European Rare Disease Research Coordination and Support Action consortium (ERICA), in which all 24 European Reference Networks (ERNs) take part, is to build on the strength of the individual ERNs and create a platform that integrates all ERNs research and innovation capacity.
The ERICA Conference was a great opportunity to ‘meet and greet’ the active ERN research community, to hear about the research projects involving ERNs and to discuss the future of ERN-related Research. The event showcased the remarkable diversity of ERN-related research activities.
ERICA aims to define a corporate identity of ERN research and to set the standards for future rare disease programmes like the European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA).
