ERN eUROGEN’s educational webinar programme started in 2019 and is part of our training and education work package. Since January 2024, all our webinars are CME accredited. We are currently working on finalising the remainder of our webinar schedule for 2024 and are already looking forward to 2025. The programme and topics are regularly discussed with other ERNs and ERN eUROGEN’s Supporting Partners to avoid duplication and to deliver joint webinars on shared topics of interest. Topics are also discussed with the ERN eUROGEN ePAG, who often contribute to webinars with the patient’s perspective. Please see below for more information on our collaborative series. We continue to run our colorectal webinar series jointly with ERN ERNICA (the European Reference Network for rare Inherited and Congenital (digestive and gastrointestinal) Anomalies), supported by two of our Supporting Partners: ARM-Net and the European Paediatric Surgeon’s Association (EUPSA). These webinars cover all aspects of paediatric colorectal surgery, in particular (congenital) anorectal malformations. We ran an interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) webinar series through the latter half of 2023. These were joint webinars with our Supporting Partner, the International Society for the Study of Bladder Pain Syndrome (ESSIC), a non-profit organisation for professionals. Its members are scientists and/or medical practitioners from all over the world with an interest in research into and/or treatment of BPS. We jointly delivered a series of webinars on spinal dysraphisms with OMNI-NET Ukraine, & the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IFSBH). These aimed to deliver a virtual webinar training programme specifically aimed at Ukrainian clinicians dealing with rare or complex urogenital diseases, thereby helping to address current Ukrainian needs for clinical support. The first series of nine webinars ran from November 2023 to April 2024. A second series is scheduled to start in October 2024. ERN eUROGEN conducts post-webinar surveys for attendees and an annual survey for continuous programme improvement. The September 2022 annual survey showed over 90% satisfaction with webinar quality. The dual-presenter format was favoured, although diverse opinions emerged on the ideal format, and there was a growing demand for more live interaction. Detailed results and areas for improvement are outlined in this pdf. Anyone wishing to provide feedback on the webinars (which they may have viewed subsequently on YouTube or GoToWebinar) can do this by sending an email.
