Webinar Programme

ERN eUROGEN’s educational webinar programme started in 2019 and is part of our work package on training and education.

We are working on our webinar schedule for the remainder of 2023 and into 2024. From September 2023, many of the webinars will be CME accredited. We will be continuing to run our colorectal webinar series and interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) webinar series (see below for more information).

The programme and topics are regularly discussed with other ERNs and ERN eUROGEN’s Supporting Partners to avoid duplication and to deliver joint webinars on shared topics of interest. Topics are also discussed with the ERN eUROGEN ePAG, who often contribute to webinars with the patient’s perspective.

Colorectal Webinar Series

Our colorectal webinar series covers all aspects of paediatric colorectal surgery, in particular (congenital) anorectal malformations. They are joint presentations between ERN eUROGEN and ERN ERNICA (the European Reference Network for rare Inherited and Congenital (digestive and gastrointestinal) Anomalies) and are supported by two of our Supporting Partners – ARM-Net and the European Paediatric Surgeon’s Association (EUPSA).

IC/BPS Webinar Series

Our interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS) webinar series involves joint presentations between ERN eUROGEN and our Supporting Partner, the International Society for the Study of Bladder Pain Syndrome (ESSIC), a non-profit organisation for professionals. Its members are scientists and/or medical practitioners from all over the world with an interest in research into and/or treatment of BPS.

Annual Survey & Feedback

ERN eUROGEN conducts post-webinar surveys for attendees and an annual survey for continuous programme improvement.

The September 2022 annual survey showed over 90% satisfaction with webinar quality. The dual-presenter format was favoured, although diverse opinions emerged on the ideal format, and there was a growing demand for more live interaction. Detailed results and areas for improvement are outlined in this pdf.
