On 19 November 2019 an information session discussed the ‘Health Cluster’ of Horizon Europe – the European Commission’s new research and innovation funding programme from 2021-2027. Michelle Battye (eUROGEN Centre Manager) was invited to participate to give a presentation of the ERNs and on ERN eUROGEN in particular.
The session was organised by eUROGEN supporting partner, the European Association of Urology (EAU) and the Biomedical Alliance, the umbrella organisation for the European organisations representing medical professionals and researchers, which the EAU is a member of.
The event also gave information on other European Commission funding opportunities that may be of interest to medical professionals outside of the ‘health cluster’ funds.
On 20 November, the EAU held an additional closed meeting where research priorities for the EAU and how EAU members could maximise the funding opportunities from EC programmes.
